Local Ocean Art was founded and fueled from my love of the woods, our waters and my passion for the arts. I have been art driven since as long as I can remember. In the late 1990’s I was introduced to and fascinated by the art style of Gyotaku.
Gyotaku is an old traditional Japanese method of recording the bounty of fishermen. The name translates to fish rubbing and is also the process of the art style.
Our mission is to provide an everlasting image of your trophy fish in its rawest beauty.
We host a variety of events throughout the year, including art exhibitions, workshops, and performances. Our events are open to everyone and are a great way to get involved in the arts community.
We love our customers, so feel free to reach out for an appointment.
